Yacht has a new vacancy at TNO (in Delft) of EBL2 operator (Experimental). We are looking for a scientist or engineer to join the team at the Van Leeuwenhoek Laboratory of TNO, where they've spent over two decades pioneering research for the world's top semiconductor equipment manufacturers. Their mission is to understand how materials and optics behave in extreme environments, investigating their nanoscale interactions to enable the next generation of high-volume EUV lithography.

Profiel kandidaat

You have a Bachelor’s degree (Dutch: HBO)
Background in experimental research in a R&D or academic setting, specifically in any or all of the following areas: vacuum, high-energy aspects, nanotechnology, optics, material characterization
You speak good English (additional good Dutch is a nice to have)
Some experience with software scripting in python, customer intimacy.

The EBL2 team

We are an enthusiastic group of researchers, focused on working with the setup EBL2. Currently the team consists of 5 operators (1 full-time, the others all ~50% part-time), 1 scientist, 1 setup owner (~50% part-time) and 1 team lead (~30% part-time). This vacancy is an expansion of the team.

The EBL2 team is embedded within the Research Group Semicon Equipment Lifetime.

Geboden wordt

This is a one-year contract with TNO via Yacht (secondment), with the option to extend and a permanent contract after the first year. The position is for 40 hours per week, but 32-36 hours is negotiable.

We offer a competitive compensation package based on the candidate's experience, with a salary max €5000 gross per month (based on a 40-hour work week).
