The University of Aruba is a young, dynamic and growing university that was founded in 1988 and now consists of four faculties, namely the Faculty of Law, the Faculty of Accounting, Finance & Marketing, the Faculty of Hotel and Tourism Management Studies and the Faculty of Arts and Science. Our primary activity is to provide high quality education.

Job requirements:
A bachelor’s degree in engineering, math, science, or related field; master’s degree preferred;
Teaching experience;
Affinity with youth and community development;
Excellent verbal and written proficiency of the English language; Dutch, Spanish, and Papiamento are a plus;
Flexible and cooperative attitude to work in a dynamic environment;
Familiarity with or willingness to receive training in Learning Management Systems (e.g., Moodle/Blackboard);
A well-developed professional skills set: proactive, innovative leadership and communication as well as inter disciplinary and inter-cultural competency.

We offer you a pleasant working environment within a small university with around 800 students that is in full development and on the verge of interesting innovations. The small scale of our organization requires a flexibility mindset to deploy a variety of activities with the possibility of conducting scientific research.
This position is for an appointment of 40 hours per week and for a salary in accordance with the remuneration scheme of the University of Aruba. The appointment is for a contract period of one (1) to three (3) years with the possibility of a contract extension based on a good performance evaluation and unchanged organization conditions. Part of our secondary employment conditions include 30 vacation days, 13 ATV days, a vacation allowance, pension plan, additional health insurance and opportunities for personal and professional development.
