You are responsible for the preparation and execution of the Configuration Management Plan (CMP). The core of the function is the management of systems and products throughout the product lifecycle.
As a Configuration Manager you are an expert in the field of configuration management and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM). You have gained experience in Engineering and/or Supply chain and therefore understand the value and necessity of PLM.

Candidate profile

You describe, implement and maintain the fundamental activities within the CMP:

Planning and control;

Identification;

Configuration check;

Status accounting;

Verification and audits.

You develop and maintain configuration management processes, methods and best practices, using the international standard CM2.

You perform configuration management tasks in projects, such as providing baselines and deliveries.

You monitor and manage CM activities within projects (for example change management).

You create and deliver configuration management/Product Life Cycle Management (awareness) presentations and training.

You are a process expert and know how the processes work in detail and help to improve processes.

You will be involved in improvement projects to create support for changes.

You are a good sparring partner for colleagues, product and/or project managers.
